Design Week Award Winners 2020 – Part 2
A couple more of my favourite finalists from the Design Week Awards, from the Identity rebrand and Environmental graphics categories
Of all the finalists this year, this is possibly the one that I love the most (and secretly, the one I most wish that I had done!). I also loved how it took me right back to the many nights spent in various gigs and clubs back when that area was at the heart of London’s underground live music scene, but in a thoroughly contemporary way.
It’s called Layers upon Layers: an outdoor installation based on the history of the newly redeveloped Coal Drops Yard. by Imagist
By total contrast, Together Design totally nailed this rebrand for Haw’s watering cans with an emphasis on craft, tradition and attention to detail, coupled with a touch of humour and irony..
